What I think about Australia

One continent I am yet to visit is the continent known as Australia. Even though I do not live anywhere close to the country, I am still hoping to get there one day and see how it is really like.

I had a lot of fun while reading this entertaining article I managed to find on the Internet the other day. The title of the article was Get that Shrimp off the Barbie! 5 Myths about Australia. It turns out that there are many myths surrounding the Australian continent. A myth means that something is not true even though people believe it to be true for some reason.

What did I learn from reading the article? I learned many things that could help me to plan my next visit to Australia. For example, I have to admit that I was surprised that koala bears are not actually bears. I know many people who believe that they are bears while in reality koalas, even though they are cute, are not bears at all.

Secondly, I learned that Australia is not just a flat dry desert so many people believe it to be. In fact, the landscape in Australia is so diverse that everybody should be able to find something for himself to like from sandy beaches, to mountain ranges where it snows to big cities such as Sydney or Melbourne.

Am I encouraged to visit Australia after reading the article? Definitely yes. Visiting the continent has always been one of my dreams and I do not give up on my dreams that easily. If I ever get a chance to finally get there, I am going to do anything to make sure that I spend my time in Australia doing all those things that a tourist should do. I want to see everything that a tourist should see during his visit to the continent.
