Maximize Writing Time

Not everybody has a lot of time on their hands. Some bloggers are busy people who have many other responsibilities such as rising children or going to work. I am one of such people. Blogging is not the only thing I do. Whenever I blog, I make sure that I stay focused. It is important to me to make sure that I always maximize my writing time. I cannot afford to be distracted by thinking about something else at the same time. I need to stay focused at all times. Words always flow easy when I make sure that I stay focused. It is not that difficult to focus once I have a clear objective.

Writing Articles

One question every writer should ask himself prior to writing any article is the following: am I able to write this article? You will save a lot of time if you realize fast enough that you are not able to write an article because you lack knowledge about the subject. Nothing is worse than realizing that you are unable to write on the subject after already writing the majority of the article. Not being able to complete an article is one of the worst things that can happen to a writer. It is not such a good thing to happen because it is not good to start something and not be able to finish it.

Fixing Mistakes

Even though I try to be careful while writing posts and articles for my blog, I sometimes keep making mistakes. One thing I learned while being a blogger was to try fix mistakes immediately after spotting them. This allows me to correct my mistakes straight after seeing them. I do not want to wait for too long before fixing mistakes. I rather prefer to do it immediately. If I know that I made a mistake and have not fixed it yet, it will keep me distracted until I fix it. I know that I simply cannot ignore mistakes after spotting them. This is why I always attempt to fix them as soon as possible.

Hobby and Home Business

Most people I know do not like their jobs. Only a handful of people actually like what they do. It would be difficult to find people who are passionate about what they do. Once you find such people, you can at least know that liking your job is indeed possible. One way to like your job is to have a home business. The thing about home businesses is that you can choose to do whatever you like. The only challenge is choosing a product or service that is going to sell. You will make money from your home business only if there is a demand for your particular products or services.

My Blog is Three Months Old

It is hard for me to believe that around 3 months have elapsed since my first post on this blog. So many things changed since then. I welcomed some interesting people visiting my website. I visited many websites myself and learned a few valuable lessons. Am I tired of blogging? Did I run out of ideas? It is quite the opposite. I am more excited now than when I wrote my first post. Is there any particular reason for that? I think there is. For me blogging is similar to playing addicting games. The more you play a game, the more interesting it becomes, the more involved you get, and the less likely you are to stop playing since you achieved so much.

It is similar with blogging, because you work on it, get higher Page Rank, lower Alexa score, obtain more Technorati favorites, and make new friends. You might be wondering what my plans for the next weeks, months, or years are. My actions will definitely focus on marketing my website, making it more popular, as well as improving the quality of my posts. I am happy that I have readers who visit my blog, read my posts, leave comments, and that ultimately motivates me to blog.

Google’s PR is Fluctuating

Google’s Page Rank provides the basis for all of Google’s web search tools. Very often people are noticing that their PR is fluctuating. Sometimes it is growing, while sometimes it is dropping. There have been many cases of famous blogs like, for example, ProBlogger.net having their Page Rank reduced but later increased again. changes. There are also some bloggers reporting that some of their sites have a high PR even though they only have a few backlinks. It is hard to say what algorithm Google is really using for their calculations, and whether it is reasonable.
Of course, many people say that PR is not that important and one should not focus his attention on it, but on the other hand blogs with high PR might be more respected in the blogosphere. That is because most people care about Google’s opinion.

Unique Articles

As a writer, I have often been asking myself the following question: are my articles unique enough to ensure their success? With so many millions of articles on the Internet, I need to find a way to offer something that nobody else has offered before. This might not be such an easy task sometimes, but it is definitely possible. Before choosing to write an article, I try to make sure that it is going to be unique. I try to write about something that I would normally not write. If possible, I also try to include a different angle than many other bloggers include in their posts.

I Like to Write

I visit blogs of other bloggers on a regular basis. From time to time, I come across a blog authored by somebody who obviously is not passionate about blogging. I can spot such blogs immediately. It usually does not take me that much time. I know when a blogger is not passionate about writing. It happens when a person finds it difficult to write articles and posts. I do not know how to express it in words, but I can recognize if somebody is passionate about writing or not. I can see the difference between somebody passionate and somebody not passionate enough.

Targeted Advertising

BlogHerAds is an ad network which offers quite a lot of features:

• When ads are not available then headlines from blogs within the network are rotated .
• Bloggers can choose a number of ad sizes. This is a very useful feature for those who want to choose an ad which will fit with their template.
• Bloggers get around 60% of the revenue earned.
• You can use up to three ads per page.

BlogHerAds is an advertising network which only allows women to join. Fortunately, they do not have further limitations like age or race, as this would limit the amount of bloggers that could join them and would seem quite awkward for some people. So basically, if you join this network you won’t be able to invite your husband, son or any other friends or family members which are male. To me it seems quite confusing why they would choose gender as a prerequisite, especially when many men and women have similar interests, traffic and would be willing to display the same ads. However, the site claims you can be accepted even if you are not female, but you need to have a demonstrated female audience, which would be almost impossible to do, because no tracking tools record gender.

Hello World!

Hello world! Welcome to ‘Blogging Domination’, a blog where I will be commenting on the current state of the blogosphere. I plan to give advice to fellow bloggers on how to create a successful blog and make it more and more popular every day. Since I started blogging I learned a lot, and I wish I had this knowledge when I first started blogging. I hope that by reading the articles on my blog you will avoid many mistakes which I committed in the past. While it may be hard to maintain a blog for long periods of time, I hope that this one will stand the test of time and become successful! I will also be writing a lot about business topics, as having a business is in many ways similar to having a blog. Naturally, I may also write about anything else I like to discuss.
